TASTING NOTES
Made from a blend of expertly tended, handpicked grapes, this wine from Vignamaggio is ruby red in colour with shades of garnet. Expect a fruity nose of sour cherries, blackberries, ripe cherries, tobacco, and spices, and forest fruits with soft and bright tannins and a liquorice on the palate. This wine is produced with 80-90% Sangiovese and 10-20% Merlot. After the harvest and vinification stages, it is aged for 18-20 months in oak barrels and barriques in Vignamaggio’s fifteenth century cellar.
