Vegan Red Wines

Vegan Red Wines

More and more of our customers are asking about vegan-friendly wines, and we're delighted to have built this extensive collection in response. The truth is, whilst wine is made from grapes, traditional winemaking often uses animal-derived products like egg whites, isinglass, or gelatin during the fining process - something many people don't realise. Our collection of vegan red wines changes that entirely. Every bottle here is made without any animal products whatsoever, which means you can enjoy exceptional wine that aligns perfectly with your values. What excites us most is that going vegan doesn't mean compromising on quality, diversity, or taste - this collection proves that beautifully, spanning everything from elegant French Beaujolais to powerful Australian Shiraz and distinctive Spanish Garnachas.

Why Our Vegan Red Wine Collection Is So Special

We've curated this range to showcase the incredible diversity of vegan red wine styles from around the world. You'll find the silky, cherry-bright charm of the Boutinot Soleil Couchant Saint-Amour from France's Beaujolais region - a wine that's as elegant as it is plant-friendly. There's the rich, warming character of the Thistledown Gorgeous Shiraz from Australia, proving that vegan wines can deliver serious depth and complexity. And if you're after something truly unique, the Costador Metamorphika Trepat aged in amphorae offers a glimpse into ancient winemaking techniques with a thoroughly modern, ethical approach. Many of these producers are exclusive to Givino in the UK, which means you're discovering vegan red wine brands that aren't widely available elsewhere.

What particularly pleases us is how many of these wines also embrace organic and natural winemaking practices. The Marfil Alella wines from Catalonia, for instance, combine vegan credentials with organic viticulture and a genuine respect for terroir. This isn't about ticking boxes - it's about producers who genuinely care about every aspect of their winemaking.

Exploring the Range of Red Wine Vegan Styles

The beauty of this collection is the sheer variety on offer. Whether you prefer lighter, food-friendly styles or full-bodied wines with serious presence, there's something here for you. The accessible Growers Touch range offers everyday drinking pleasure from Australia - perfect for midweek meals without breaking the bank. Spanish options like the Rippa Dorii Roble Tempranillo deliver classic Iberian character with oak influence and bright fruit. Chilean wines from producers like La Capitana showcase the pure, vibrant fruit that South America does so well. And Portuguese selections from Quinta do Portal prove that the Douro Valley creates red wine for vegans with genuine soul and character.

Our vegan red wines collection includes wines made from:

• Classic varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz - familiar favourites done ethically
• Spanish indigenous grapes like Tempranillo, Garnatxa, and Bobal - distinctive regional character
• Elegant Pinot Noir and Gamay - lighter styles perfect for diverse food pairings
• Unique varieties like Carmenère and Trepat - something different for adventurous palates
