TASTING NOTES
TIHOM began its journey with "atypical" wines. We wanted to showcase the grandeur and diversity of Rioja. But we never abandoned the classics, reinterpreting them with modern conditions and knowledge.
The wine masters of the last century and a half, from Don Victor Cruz Mánso de Zúñiga, through Don Antonio Larrea, and arriving at Don Manuel Ruiz Hernández, agreed on a "golden proportion" of Rioja wine based on the queen of varieties, Tempranillo, sweetened with Garnacha and with touches of the strong character provided by Mazuelo and Graciano.
With some exceptions, this is the path we have followed.
The red THMs contain 60% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacha, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo.
Each variety is aged in the oak that best respects the wine's characteristics. After a year, a blend is made in a concrete tank, where it will age for six more months until bottling.
