TASTING NOTES
This Ruby has a brilliant ruby color. Great aroma of red fruits and plums. A round mouth with smooth tannins. Bright red in colour, exhibiting a very attractive aroma, with notes of ripe red fruit that stand out (plum, cherry) along with a touch of dark chocolate and cocoa.
The grapes for this wine are picked from our vineyards along the Douro Valley. Vinified in lagares in our winery in Pinhão, ageing is carried out in old oak casks, for a period of 6 to 8 years. Following ageing the different wines are put together so as to obtain a richer and complex final “blend”.. This is a result of a blend of different ruby ports.
