TASTING NOTES
Péter Benedek is a third generation winemaker crafting small-batch, traditional wines in the highland wine region of Mátra in Hungary. Mátra is a continental climate region, with brown forest clay soils mixed with volcanic basalt, rhyolite and bentonite.
This single-vineyard Kékfrankos from Benedek has sour cherry flavors, with nice, concentrated forest fruits on the palate. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tank on the fine lees for 6 months. Rough filtration only, vegan.
