It sparkles and the riesling slightly catches the aromatics of Muscat. It’s how we like it: fresh, elegant, festive, tightrope walker.
The 2021 Pet-Nat Blanc is a blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Sylvaner; the first three come from the village of Heiligenstein and the Sylvaner from Rosheim, both in Alsace. The grapes were harvested in early September and each varietal began fermentation separately, until about 20 grams of residual remained. The juice was then blended, bottled, and left to continue to ferment. The wine was aged under crown cap from mid-November 2020 until disgorgement at the end of April 2021.
Now on to what you’re here for, taste. The Pet Nat Blanc has some of the softest bubbles you’ll find in the wine game that expertly carries notes of green apples, pears, and stone fruit aromas. Vibrant, Fresh, Floral, and one hell of a Pet Nat..
