Evident notes of new wood in the aroma, presence of flowers and some menthol, direct style of Touriga Nacional, here well wrapped in fruit. Very interesting in the mouth, fresh, with evident barrel but with an elegant sylvan tone.
Quinta do Noval is a blended wine using the noble grape varieties of Douro, the majority of which are Touriga Nacional supported by Touriga Franca and Tinto Cão. All grapes come from the Quinta do Noval vineyard. They use the “remontage” method for wine in stainless steel vats, with temperatures held at 26ºC. All wine is matured in French oak casks for approximately 18 months.
