TASTING NOTES

The Gonzo Combat Rouge is a rather unusual field blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Viognier which are co-fermented with whole bunch fermentation. The results is a beautifully supple yet plush and ripe red wine with sweet, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. We’ve found it drinks best slightly chilled on a warm evening.

Vandal Wines is the side project of three Marlborough based winemakers allowing them to experiment with methods they wouldn’t usually get to bottle. But fret not, despite their experimental nature all the Vandal wines are made with the aim of being easily drinkable!
