Le Haut-Médoc de Mauvesin Barton, Haut-Médoc 2012
TASTING NOTES
The history of Château Mauvesin dates back to 1457. It was one of Jean de Foix Grailly’s three noble residences. In 1853, the Château was passed to Lodoïs Leblanc, the last Marquis de Mauvesin. In 2011, the estate was again sold to the Barton-Sartorious family; 8th generation winemakers at Château Langoa and Château Léoville Barton. The new owners have invested heavily in renovating the whole production facility and winery.
This bold Haut-Médoc balances vibrant red fruits with spicy black pepper, smoky cedar and fine tannins.
