Produttori di Manduria ‘Lirica’ Primitivo di Manduria Puglia 2020

The DOC of Primitivo di Manduria down in the heel of Italy has officially been recognised as the traditional home of this popular grape for decades now and the Produttori still produce some of the best examples around.

The Lirica is made from one of their top selections of grapes which come from small growers with an average of only two hectares of vines, are grown practicing organic principles and hand-picked before heading to the winery on the outskirts of the old town of Manduria itself.

Lots of fresh, ripe, pure cherry, plum and dark fruit aromas with notes of sweet spice and liquorice. The palate is broad with an abundance of ripe fruit and sweet spice flavours, mild tannins, a touch of savouriness and balanced by really clean, bright acidity.
