TASTING NOTES

A medium bodied, fruity, smooth dry red wine from the Szekszard wine region. Juicy cherry, plum & red currant notes, with a hint of dark chocolate & vanilla. Finely integrated tannins & pleasant acidity.

Kekfrankos is a widely planted, classic grape variety in the region, however it is actually not an easy variety to work with. It requires talent, and the right conditions, including the right soil. Before bottling, Janos Markvart Jnr is winemaker uses neutral (used) barrels, to achieve a creamier, silkier texture for this wine.
