Agricola Alba Pinot Grigio Venezia DOC 2022

Agricola Alba Pinot Grigio is a Pinot Grigio (85%) dominant white, the balance made up by Chardonnay, which is pale in colour with aromas of flowers and bright, summery fruit, then soft and silky on the palate.

The grapes for this wine all come from the producers vineyard in Concordia. It is a very open site so it can be very windy and it is much closer to the Adriatic Sea than the vineyards in Conegliano. The soil is a mixture of clay and chalk. Vinification is done in three steps. First the grapes are pressed to acquire the must. Then the must gets cleaned and the yeast inoculated, in order to start the fermentation; after about 10 days the sugar is completely converted into alcohol. At this point the temperature gets lowered to stop the fermentation and the wine is clarified.
