TASTING NOTES

A bright and fresh expression of Valle Central Carménère. Notes of bramble with a spicy, balsamic depth – Pairs surprisingly well with moroccan lamb dishes.

Armador is the Spanish word for a ship owner and is the name given to the original range of Odfjell’s wines, established in 1999.

This is a 85% Carménère and 15% Syrah from the sandy clay and granite soils of the Maule Valley and the red clay of the Maipo Valley. The grapes are destemmed and macerated as whole berries at a low temperature for 4 to 6 days, then the must is fermented using a mixture of native and selected yeasts. The wine is aged in stainless steel and undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
