La Tordera Saomi Prosecco Brut DOC Magnum
TASTING NOTES
Though Glera’s precise origins remain in dispute, its popularity does not. The great majority is used for sparkling and semi-sparkling production in the Veneto region of northeast Italy, most importantly in the DOCG of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene. With enough sun exposure the grapes can develop complex, refined, characteristically light flavours with delicate floral aromatics.
Founded in the hills of Valdobbiadene, La Tordera is at the heart of the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG production area, between Venice and the Dolomites. Always on the lookout for innovation whilst mindful of their bond with our land and its traditions, they pursue ever more “green” approaches to winemaking in harmony with the environment.
Grapes are harvested before they achieve full ripeness to enhance the wines’ energetic, youthful character. A gentle press retains their natural aromatics before a second fermentation, lasting four weeks.
Fine and persistent bubbles. Fruity with notes of rennet apple and Mediterranean spices, vanilla and acacia. A well-balanced and fresh who’s fruit aromas are enhanced by a good liveliness. Persistent with an elegant aftertaste.
