TASTING NOTES

The Rutherglen Durif 2021 is an intensely rich and concentrated wine. Whilst young it is best to decant or aerate for an hour or so to let the wine breathe. Delicious to enjoy with full flavoured char grilled meats, or cellar for up to 10 years, when an aged rib eye will be more than suitable.

Campbells of Rutherglen Limited Release Durif is a premium red wine produced by the renowned Australian winery, Campbell’s Wines. Durif is a rich and intense grape variety, and this wine showcases its deep color and bold flavors exceptionally well. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, which imparts hints of vanilla and spice to the palate. The aroma is characterised by rich dark fruit, such as blackberries and plums, along with a subtle smokey note. This Limited Release Durif is full-bodied and has a long, smooth finish, which makes it a perfect wine to pair with hearty meals or enjoy on its own.
