Mombasa Club Strawberry Gin

Made in the London Dry gin style, the Mombasa Club Strawberry Edition is a twist on the original recipe. It is triple-distilled for delicate smoothness before being infused with real strawberries and other red fruits. The result is a sweet, juicy gin which is perfect for the summer. It makes an amazingly fruity G&T when mixed with quality tonic water and garnished with a fresh strawberry and a little sprig of mint. It has a delicate pink colour with rich aromas of strawberries on the nose, and the flavours balance between sweetness and acidity with bold fruity notes.

The Mombasa Club brand is inspired by the eponymous private social club which was set up for British colonialists in Kenya in the nineteenth century. The Mombasa Club was located opposite the island of Zanzibar, and so was in a key trading location. With all the British people living in the area, the club offered an exclusive gin imported from England for the pleasure of its members. Now that gin has been re-created according to the original formula, and made available for everyone to try.
