Two Rivers Tributary Pinot Noir 2021
TASTING NOTES
Grape variety, 100% Pinot Noir aged in French oak for 11 months.
A dark ruby, tawny colour with a bouquet of lifted aromas of violets and cassis, intermingled with dark fruits and a savoury earthiness. The silky palate is well-structured and framed by firm acidity, velvety tannins and interlaced with rich dark fruit, cherry cola flavours and exotic spice. An elegant style of Pinot Noir, fresh, layered, textured, which will age gracefully and reward cellaring.
The heart of Marlborough wine region is fed by the Awatere and Wairau Rivers. From the banks of these rivers, David Clouston selects the finest parcels of fruit to craft Two Rivers wines. Sourced from vineyards planted on the ancient tributaries of the Awatere and Wairu rivers. Gently pressed and aged in French oak barrels for 11 months, the resulting wine is elegant, richly textured and full of spice, dark cherry and ripe berry fruits.
